I'm getting my braces off on Monday and I really wanna whiten my teeth for school, but when i was getting my teeth cleaned the dentist said that you cant whiten your teeth for about 6 months afterwards?? is that true? and does anyone know why??!!!

i wouldn't whiten your teeth if you are under 18 because if you are younger, the nerves of your teeth are still close to the surface enamel so whitening them could damage the nerve endings and cause possible tooth loss later on in life, or maybe just dental problems down the road. use whitening tooth paste 2 to 3 times a day though, and floss. good luck!
