Hi everyone. I'm going to have my teeth whitened soon. I need some help, though. What's the best kind of procedure? Our family dentist said that they can bleach my teeth in their office, but my mom says she wants me to try "Zoom!" teeth whitening. Which is better? I'm really not sure. Which will give me the white smile that I'm looking for...? Can anyone give me pros and cons for both procedures and, if possible, tell me which is better? Thanks...

First off, your teeth will only whiten to a certain point and that's it. There is no guarantee to any specific shade. The only way to get movie star teeth is to do what movie stars do- get veneers. That said, in-office bleaching is a rip off. I can assure you of this because I preformed them for 3 years. Your paying the big bucks for the CONVENIENCE! You'll still have sensitivity the same as a home kit. A good cleaning and a box of Crest white strips will give you the same results, it just takes longer. Zoom is not the way to go either. You have to put SPF all over your face to receive it because they use a glorified sun lamp to bleach your teeth. Seriously. Doesn't sound healthy to me.
