Right now I'm a 9th grader with braces and as soon as I get them off (Junior year) I want to go to the dentist to get my teeth whitened. I want to do this because I realize how yellow teeth are a big turn off in both personal and business worlds. But my question is is it safe to do this? Will going to the dentist and having my teeth whitened do anything to my teeth? Eat away my enamel? Yes I realize how costly the procedure is and I plan to get a job before junior year to pay this off.

It is a very safe procedure. If you don't smoke or drink coffee I recommend you try alternative methods, especially if you don't have the cash to get it done professionally.
