How much baking soda should i use daily to whiten my teeth?

i have heard baking soda works if you put it with your toothpaste but how much? i don't want to put too much on and then risk damaging my teeth! :(

Baking soda will not whiten teeth but it will get the plaque off your teeth. The same price you pay for baking soda you could buy a whitening toothpaste which not only fights plaque but also has whitening ingredients in it. You also have to consider what type of staining you have because certain stains are known and intrinsic and will not whiten because they are within the tooth.
