Laser teeth whitening?

I had jaw surgery six months ago and still cant open my mouth more than just under 2 inches because the muscles are still not fully recovered. My braces are coming off in a few weeks and im desperate to get my teeth prossesionaly whitened, using laser treatment, http://www.allwhite3000.co.uk/mainMX/all... However with the method using a laser you will need to sit with thing big white laser thing ni your mouth for an hour and im not sure my mouth will open wide enough? What are other peoples experiences with this method? And have you had your teeth whitened?

I would wait until you're fully healed. Plus, they might not even consider you if your mouth won't open wide enough. I know many who have had laser whitening, and it does work - but I got the molds/trays from my dentist and I prefer that method. It might be worth looking into since you can sleep with the molds on and not have to keep your mouth open for any extended time. Your dentist does the mold, and it only requires you to have your mouth open about the time it takes for a normal cleaning. Then you do the bleaching at home. In any case, be forewarned that tooth bleaching can be a painful process. Using any method, your teeth will be sensitive and you might have shooting pains for weeks after treatment. I would talk to the doctor you're seeing about the jaw to make sure it's safe for you to bleach and he/she can recommend the best method.
