I've been using some Crest White Strips Pro Effects - "highest whitening at retail".. They seem to be working alright, probably will need a second box to get my teeth super-white. However, the strips only whiten what is generally visible when you smile. Is there an easy/somewhat inexpensive way to lighten the rest of my teeth a bit? Would using peroxide as a mouthwash for durations of time have an effect?

it would probably help. i would probably talk to ur dentist to see if he has anything to say or something that would help better (even if not, its best to ask him bc some home remedies [like peroxide] can damage ur teeth overtime) if ur not already, i would suggest getting a whitening toothpaste too. i use Crest whitening expressions (in wintergreen ice) and that seems to help maintain my smile (i have custom bleach trays and bleach from the dentist) and also have Crest weekly clean toothpaste (although i haven't used that since i bleached my teeth). another thing that i would suggest is getting a really good toothbrush. right now i have a sonicare one (i think it cost about $130, but i think they do have cheaper ones)...i will say though that i think that any toothbrush that is battery powered (even the ones that cost around $10) work better and make teeth whiter than a manual toothbrush hope this helps! =)
