How long does it take, and how much lighter could it make my teeth?

We generally tell our patients to expect a change of 3 shades. They will take impression of your teeth and custom form trays to fit you. The length of time depends on the system your dentist uses. They will all use some kind of gel contained in a syringe, be careful not to overfill the trays since the gel can be very irritating to gum tissue. If you do get gel on your gums just wipe it off with your finger while the tray is still in place. They virtually all cause some level of sensitivity so just expect it. I have been a guinea pig at my office for many and I can tell you, stay away from ZOOM, that stuff HURTS!!
