I keep hearing about Crest brand whitening strips. However, they also say that the doctor's "in office" procedure also works wonders. What are the pricing differences? What do you guys recommend? My teeth are not yellow, they are just not that white. I brush twice a day. Thanks for all your help =)
--------------------
White strips only whiten front 6 teeth and tend to cause gum irritation. Because they do not seal out saliva, only minimal whitening seen. I recommend custom molded take home trays and gel. An in office "preconditioning" session helps increase whitening if patient has never whitened before. Not a fan of "zoom" or one hour whitening. Teeth get white then darken once teeth hydrate- saliva moistens tooth structure. Prices vary by geographic area. strips are the cheapest of course and custom trays most expensive but very effective and can last 5-7 years.
