I wonder sometimes if it really does. I`ve tried whitening toothpastes & the results come out like how my teeth were already. Well, anyways I ask this question because it`s for my Science Fair project. And because I can`t find any information about my question on the internet :P soo, does anybody know the answer to this? If you do, thank you for your time for reading this.

There IS one ingredient in a few of the whitening toothpastes that really does help. Check all of the ingredients to see if it contains "calcium peroxide". If it does, it should do a decent job of brightening. Mind you, it won't look like a dentist has bleached your teeth, but should be a bit better than before. Also, I have found that using a good electronic toothbrush (such as Oral-B Triumph) helps keep your teeth brighter and your gums healthy.
