Are there any common household items that can whiten your teeth? I've heard about baking soda, but are there others? Thanks!

Hello! There are numerous things to "whiten" your teeth around the house! Sodium Bicarbonate and Hydrogen Peroxide are going to be the two most useful household items to whiten your teeth! I really would not advise using Hydrogen Peroxide so we'll skip that (you can use it if you want, but it's up to you to figure out how to use it) I'll explain how to use baking soda to whiten your teeth. Everytime you brush your teeth add 1 tsp. of baking soda ontop of your toothpaste and brush as normal then make sure you rinse your mouth out with water. Repeat twice a day until your teeth appear whiter. For a mere $4.00 you can purchase "Arm and Hammer teeth whitening paste" that adds ontop of your toothpaste from your local store which I also suggest as an alternative to the expensive whitening that your dentist can do or the $60.00 whitening strips (crest are the better). Please be careful as many products can make your teeth sensitive (hydrogen peroxide being the main one) The arm and hammer paste has a very low chance of creating sensitivity in your teeth with use so I would suggest purchasing it. I know it to be fairly effective in whitening too.
