Which makes teeth whiter/better results? Laser Whitening or Bleaching?

Hi there, I'm thinking of getting my teeth whitened but want to know which way gets teeth whiter? Laser or Bleaching? I know Laser is more expensive but I've heard the results are better. Can anyone help me, has anyone had it done? Thanks

Laser whitening and bleaching are really the same process. Both require the teeth to be covered with a peroxide solution; in "one hour" or laser whitening the peroxide is much more concentrated. The laser is supposed to cause the peroxide to be more active but several studies suggest that it does nothing more than placebo. After one hour there is whitening but likely not to the degree that you want; so you are then given an at-home whitening kit to complete the process over the following couple of weeks. I assume the bleaching you refer to is the at-home kit that is used for 30 minutes twice a day for about 2 to 3 weeks. This method is often more comfortable (less sensitivity) and less costly. Both methods will usually result in white teeth.
