Teeth Whitening for my 13 year old niece with braces?

ok so i never had braces so i dont know how to approach this. my niece who is 13 years old is getting braces off in lik 5 months. they dont want their teeth to look all dirty and yellow and not white, especially when you have like perfectly straight teeth. so my niece wants to whiten her teeth a little. and since shes practically a kid/teen, i dont think stuff like whitening rinse, white strips or any of the adult methods would work/be safe. so other than brushing twice a day, rinse, brush her tongue, and floss, i dont know what else she should do, especailly since shes 13. and she has about 2/3-5 months until her braces are coming off. and she doesn't want spots where the brackets were on her teeth. SO PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO ANSWER THIS, because i dont.. PLEASE ANSWER!! 5 STARS TO BEST ANSWER!! :D 10 points anyone?!

Usually when braces are taken off, the orthodontist removes the stains a bit themselves, after that, use a toothpaste such as Sensodyne Pronamel gentle whitening or Arm and Hammer gentle whitening. Your right to not want to use a strong whitener as these do damage especially young teeth, but a gentle one as above should be ok - the idea is to build up surface enamel rather than strip the teeth of enamel like most strong whitening products do.
