I've been whitening my teeth lately with prescription teeth whitener. My teeth are sensitive the day after I use it, & I'm SO sensitive that when I touch my clothes, paper, or write with a pencil (basically ANYTHING), I get the chills. My 2 science teachers recommended to switch to Sensodine toothpaste, but I just want a quick remedy to make it go away a little bit. Any suggestions?

This happened to me with whitening, too. I'm a hygienist, and whenever patients are whitening, I always suggest they use a fluoride rinse, like Act. I would try this. I'm not sure if they sell this in stores, but if they do, I would get Prevident (I think from Colagate) - it's a stronger fluoride. This can repair some of the minerals that are lost from your teeth during whitening. Other than that, I can't think of any immediate solutions. Sensodyne toothpaste works well too, but it takes a week or two of using it.
