#1 - Check credentials to make sure a DENTIST or REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST is administering the whitening procedure. No, not just a person in a lab coat, but an actual DDS or Dental Hygienist (not a Dental Assistant, which is different...) There is much controversy surrounding bleaching procedures being done anywhere but a dental office. In my area, several businesses have made false claims about tooth whitening, because they ARE NOT even dental professionals. It's quite comical actually (and scary) as they struggle to look professional and make claims, though they have no licensing as dental professionals whatsoever! See the link below for more info. I would NOT want these folks giving me any advice on my teeth! I've not heard about the White Spa teeth whitening, but DEFINITELY make sure you do any whitening through your dentist. There are many risks associated with individuals who are not dental professionals, dispensing bleach products. BE AN INFORMED CONSUMER! Don't get blinded by the flashing lights and dollar signs!
