Teeth whitening with hydrogen peroxide..?

has anybody tried this and has it worked?

Whitening products (over the counter and stuff the dentist gives you) do usually contain some sort of peroxide. However, the hydrogen peroxide wont do much for your teeth. Rinsing with half water half peroxide IS good for your gums though! :D
