Teeth whitening with a cap?

I have a cap on one of my teeth and it's matched to the color of the rest. I want to get my teeth whitened, but I'm worried about that tooth. What would happen?
--------------------
Crowns, bridges and dentures cannot be bleached/whitened.. what you see is what you get. If it's a molar, you should be fine, since the only way someone may slightly notice the difference is when you give a 'full-belly' laugh... meaning your head goes back and your mouth is opened as you're laughing... If it's a front tooth, you could have the crown replaced to match the whitening shade, but keep in mind that whitening does not last.... so the crown may be whiter than the rest of the teeth in the long run should you choose to replace it.. Do you really need to have them whitened? It's definitely a decision that needs a thought-process before considering.. Best of luck to you~
