What are some good at home teeth whitening methods?

I've tried crest white strips but they were expensive, messy, and difficult. Any other ideas or better experience with other whitening strips? Thanks.

Use regular water and baking soda and mix into a paste and brush with that. I would only recommend using this mixture every few days though as baking soda is an abrasive and can damage teeth and gums if used excessively. Try to stay away from peroxide as this too can cause harm to your gingival tissues, causing them to become inflammed or red and sore. If you are having a major problem with staining or discoloring on the teeth, watch what you are drinking and eating. Wines and coffee are big stain issues for teeth as well as berries ( blueberries, blackberries ) Also if you use tobacco products they too will stain the teeth. If you use any of these, try to brush ASAP after using them and wash them off the surfaces of your teeth.
