My 3-year old daughter was playing eye spy when the color yellow came up. She said "daddy's teeth!" Kids tell it like it is. I want to get some sort of teeth whitener, but I'm not sure if buying a DIY kit will really help much or if I should just go to the dentist.

i should apologize for lol about your daughters honesty. That's funny! anyway, your dentist would do a fine job with your teeth, but i've tried that before and it's really expensive (and you have to pay every time you go of course). i think the best thing for you to do is try doing it yourself at home first. i've been very happy with how well the teeth whitener i've used has work...your mileage may vary, but it's definitely worth a shot. if it doesn't do the job well enough, then go to the dentist. i think you'll find the tooth bleaching kits you can use at home will do a great job and are a whole lot more convenient than going to the dentist...plus, i've found that teh heavy duty stuff the dentist used made my teeth really sensitive and i didn't have that problem at home. seriously, just try doing it yourself first. There are alot of good products out there.
