My braces come off in 5 days (today is 4/21 and they come off 4/26). I just bought the crest 3D white toothpaste and wanted to know if it would be bad to start using it now even though I still have my braces on.

I wouldn't because then you might have an outline of where your braces were when you take them off. Just wait the five days and then use it :]
