Teeth Whitening?

Can tooth whitening be convered by dental insurance? I want tot get mine whitened but the in office one costs hundreds of dollars that isn't covered by insurance? If not, does anyone know of a good in home tooth whitener that works really well and works quickly?

Whitening most likely will NOT be covered by insurance because it's considered a cosmetic procedure. Insurance will only cover what needs to be done for health reasons...not to make you look good. I have used Whitestrips, and an occassional whitening toothpaste. You can also try "White Light" which uses a gel and a little blue light. I can notice a difference after just a few uses. If you want to just buy the gel, you can always use the sports mouthguards to keep the gel on your teeth without getting it all over. (Boil the mouthguard in water until it can move a little...then stick it in your mouth while it can still move but it's not too hot. If you bite down, it should form to the shape of your mouth and teeth.) Anyway, hope this helps...and good luck!
