I live in Canada and had great success with the offbrand whitening strips, (the wax strip type) and they cost half of what the name brand (crest, colgate etc) cost. Also try chewing Trident "White" (gum w/ baking soda) if available in the UK, tastes great and is good for about 2 - 3 shades of white. http://www.dentist.net/trident.asp example at bottom of page Good Luck!
