Has anyone had their teeth whitened by the dentist?

Has anyone had their teeth whitened by the dentist? Just wondering if its worth going and how much it mite be? Thanks for your help.

You must have a specific short term purpose of whitening the teeth. For example, many people whitens their teeth because of job related (interview, important meeting, etc) or social events (wedding picture, blind dates etc). If none of those are your purpose and you are doing it simply because you want to have white teeth, it's not worth going to the dentist and spend anywhere from $100-$700 for session of Zoom or any other power whitening. You can have whiter teeth for couple week to couple months but not longer unless you brush with specific tooth paste right after every coffee/coloring soft drinks and food. It can also make your teeth sensitive. How do I know this? because I am a dentist who regularly does Zoom for my patients.
