I have a question about teeth whitening.?

Does fluoride help whiten teeth?
--------------------
No, fluoride is meant to remineralize or strengthen the teeth if used in a tooth paste. Fluoride that is ingested in water (or other beverages) that you drink is meant to help build stronger teeth that have not erupted through the gums and into the mouth yet. Too much ingested fluoride can cause white spots on the teeth, so don't eat any tooth paste. Hope that helps! JAMRDH - a dental hygienist
