I would like to know if anyone else has this problem and used an OTC whitener with success my teeth are not stained just naturally yellow will an OTC whitener whiten my teeth or do they only work on stains? xxx

Actually, they are meant for whitening, not for stains. So go ahead and try it, it can't hurt. We often recommend Crest White Strips to our patients who do not want, nor have the need for the bleaching trays that we make here.
