I've bought home whitening kits before (strips and gels) but every time I use them, I get sharp shooting pains in my teeth. I just went to the dentist, and my teeth are in good condition, just very very sensitive. Anyone else have the same problem? Is there something that will whiten without the pain?

I also have your problem, and the only solution I found was to decrease the amount of time I used the whitening agents. I got the Crest white strips from my dentist's office and I used them for my wedding. I think they call for 30 minutes 2 times a day, but I did 10 minutes once a day, and my teeth were very white for my wedding. If you are still super sensitive, try doing the whitening treatments every other day a few hours before going to bed. That way if your teeth get sensitive, the majority of the sensitivity will be while you are asleep. You can also use Sensodyne toothpaste, and make sure you have a soft bristle toothbrush. Hope this helps!
