i took liquid medication from the time i was a born till about 10 or 11 (i'm 27 now) i believe the medicine stained my teeth. they are not horrible but i've tried many (and expensive) teeth whitening systems, strips ect and nothing worked. should i give up on OTC whitening and just go to the dentist or is there possibly something that may work?

If you have tried the Crest strips from the stores and they did not work - go to a dentist. Crest Whitestrips Supreme are available only from dentists due to the strength and work really well. You can also have a custom tray made - about $100 each for upper and lower. You could pay hundreds for in-office 1 hour bleaching - but you usually end up needing a tray for a few weeks anyway. Be sure to bleach the upper teeth first!! This way you can see if it is working or not. Once you get the upper as white as you want them, do the lower teeth.
