What is the best way to whiten your teeth if you have sensitivity?

I have been trying to whiten my teeth with Crest WhiteStrips but quickly found out that my tooth sensitivity would prevent me from finishing with it. I have heard that using baking soda works, but I am just looking for the best way possible.
--------------------
i would probably try baking soda bc you can just add that to ur regular toothpaste or mix it with water - but be careful not to use it long term or without the advice of ur dentist bc home things could damage ur teeth over time. i would ask ur dentist what he thinks the best thing would be. i know that when i got my bleaching trays and gel from my dentist he said that sometimes placing some toothpaste for sensitive teeth into the trays (and/or brushing with it) can help with the sensitivity. hope this helps! =)
