i can't afford dentist whitening. and i'm only 13. help? i have very low confidence and thats because of my yellow teeth what is the best whitening toothpaste that you have used and did it work, what brand and how much did it cost? i've heard of colgate sensitive whitening toothpaste does it work? HELP!!

All toothpastes that say whitening on them will only work if you have stains on your teeth, like coffee or tobacco stains. The reason is that the whitening toothpastes have more grit in them so it polishes off the stain and thus your teeth appear white. It does not have any "bleach" in them. This is what is misleading about whitening toothpastes. Your issue is yellow teeth, which is not a stain, it is the natural color of your teeth. Your best bet is to try the Crest whitestrips, they have a form of peroxide in it that will actually bleach out the yellow. The cost is about $30 in the store for a 2 week supply, I know you are a tad young at 13, but this will help your self esteem if you have a great smile! Good luck!
