A friend told me that he uses peroxide to whiten his teeth... I tired it, but after a few days or so my gums were sore when i would brush my teeth. I really want my teeth to get whiter but I don't know the best and cheapest way to do so.

I work in the dental office and honestly, the stuff we sell for $300 works just as good as the over-the-counter products. Check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqjPKja8V… the product that the girl recommends is like $5 and it works really well. :) Oh, and don't use hydrogen peroxide by itself. It ruins your gums and teeth. Your friend is ruining his mouth if he uses peroxide...and not peroxide-containing products.
