if i wanted to get my teeth witened by my dentist how do they do it? and around how much will it cost and does it hurt do they use needles or a gell and is it safe?

I used to smoke and drink tea so often that my teeth looks so yellow. I tried all these kind of white strips and tooth paste but they didn't work at all.
