Hi Mimi Baking soda will probably make a difference if your teeth are really stained but you will want to see a dentist before using baking soda or hydrogen peroxide just to have a check up. The dentist can provide some additional over the counter products you can use to whiten your teeth. In addition perhaps a good cleaning at the dental office might be in order. However, the bottom line is "yes". I hope this information has helped you. Before you go to your next dental appointment consider buying an inexpensive dental insurance plan or dental discount plan from a reputable insurance company. http://www.insurancecompany.com is a reliable company specializing in these plans since 1983. They could probably assist you... Regards, Dr. David Blunt
