I don't use whitening kits, the best solution i have found is using baking soda instead of toothpaste, it might taste gross but it works, brush your teeth with the baking soda in the morning and at night after a few weeks they will be crystal white, honestly, rinse your mouth out after wards and if you want you can brush you teeth with toothpaste after wards to take the taste away of the baking soda. Good Luck. Don't use too much baking soda or brush too hard. If you don't like this there are whitening toothpastes out there as well, not as expensive as kits.

So I have bought this teeth whitening system, but after I've put the trays in hot water, it doesn't mold to my teeth at all. Does hydrogen Peroxide Whiten your teeth?
A friend told me that he uses peroxide to whiten his teeth... I tired it, but after a few days or so my gums were sore when i would brush my teeth. I really want my teeth to get whiter but I don't know the best and cheapest way to do so.

I work in the dental office and honestly, the stuff we sell for $300 works just as good as the over-the-counter products. I am really young and I am too young to get laser. I use Crest Vivid White toothpaste and it has helped the tiniest bit but my teeth are still yellow. I need a really cheap way to whiten my teeth fast!

Actually, this is a funky idea, but it will not damage your teeth, gums or mouth (won't taste too good, but it will work). Put an Alka Seltzer in your mouth then add a 1/3 - 1/2 cup of vinegar. The Alka seltzer will fizz up like crazy and all those lovely bubbles will take stains off your teeth like there was no tomorrow (this also works on the inside of dirty thermoses and hard to scrub toilet spots too). It will feel funky and you should probably rinse your mouth out afterwards (but neither vinegar or Alka Seltzer can ever damage your mouth or teeth!). Do this ince a day for 3 days, you should see some difference.

Why are my teeth still yellow?
My teeth aren't yellow due to lack of brushing my teeth. They just have a natural yellow tint. I use toothpaste that have "extra whitening" ingredients but my teeth don't whiten. I also rinse my mouth with Crest mouthwash w/o alcohol, if that helps. Professional and diy teeth whitening are out of the question. Are there any other ways I can whiten my teeth? Thanks!!! :)

Is there a hot caffeinated beverage that won't stain my teeth?
I was thinking of getting my teeth professionally whitened but I understand that if I do, and then I continue to drink coffee, the whiteness will be gone. I don't know if I can survive the winter without a hot caffeinated beverage in the morning, though. All I can think of is grinding up a No Doze and stirring it into a cup of hot water, which does not sound very appealing. Can anyone suggest a nice hot caffeinated beverage for the cool fall and winter mornings coming up? If not, how about a cold caffeinated beverage that I could have with some nice hot oatmeal? It has to be clear or white in color.

What are some ways to hide crooked teeth?
While I am saving up for braces or cosmetic surgery, what should I do to hide my crooked teeth until then? Would it look ridiculous to bleach my teeth and have nice white crooked teeth? I would not whiten your teeth until you get your braces off. After your braces are off, if you want to whiten them quickly, go to your dentist and have him use the Zoom whitening. It takes about an hour, but they will look awesome!

Has anybody tried the new Listerine mouthwash that is supposed to whiten your teeth? Does it work?
I heard that it forms into a thick liquid (almost a paste) after rinsing with it for 60 seconds. I wonder if it is supposed to whiten your teeth long term or just for the day? I looked at a bottle of it at Target the other day and the bottle advertising made no claims as to how it works. Just wondering if anyone had any results from this product.

Before the disrespectful comments, I brush my teeth twice and day and use Listerine teeth whitening mouth wash. Whitening Bonding (teeth) With Denture Cleaner?
I have porcelain bonding on six of my teeth that are over 15 years old and have allot of stains. I have not replaced them yet due to the fact that new ones will cost me thousands of dollars. I have been told there is no way to whiten them but today I was at Walgreen's and bought Stain Away Plus denture cleaner thinking I would mix it and use it like a mouthwash (they are crystals you mix with water)- it says it whitens in 5 minutes. My thinking was to hold it in my mouth and spit it out after 5 minutes and maybe it would whiten them since some dentures are made of porcelain. But I wanted to do some research first to make sure it's safe to use that way (in mouth)....... It doesn't list ingredients on the box and I have been unable to find them anywhere. It also doesn't have anything that says not to use in mouth, all it says is "In case of contact with eyes or mouth, flush with water", Can anyone tell me if it's safe to use that way or if it will even work? Thanks!!

That will not work. Porcelain is very color stable. The only way those cleaners work is by knocking off surface stain. They do NOT make porcelain whiter. As for if it is safe...not sure, but I sort of doubt it. Otherwise Listerine would do it. Thanks for the gut splitting laugh by the way!

It's a sugarless gum but it has some artificial ingredient that sweetens it. I've read things here and there that say dentists claim that it strengthens or whitens your teeth. Is this true, and is there any health / mental benefits from any gum, really?
